Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
He has been on IR since before week 4 of 2026, and our board ranks him below every running back you could pick up right now. That is the whole practical situation: he plays no game while the designation stands, no recent headlines say when it lifts, and his bye in week 8 of 2026 is still to come. One appearance all season, a zero in week 2 of 2026, and weeks 1, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026 missed. There is no week ahead you can point to and say he helps you.
The role was never coming either. Third on the depth chart behind David Montgomery and Woody Marks, and 2025 showed exactly what that means: a 6.9% snap share, zero targets across the season, 2 touches inside the ten. He averaged 1.0 points a game over 8 appearances in 2025 and cleared the position's weekly median once. His yards per touch did climb from 2 in 2024 to 4.6 in 2025, which is a nice footnote and nothing more, because the touches never followed. And the history of backs with this kind of profile is ugly: on average, players in his spot have seen points a game fall 1.6 the next season, a fall that has cost that group real production year over year, and the scoring-range version of that profile docked 1.4 on average.
Our preseason number for him was 21 points across the 12 games we expected, and he has played one of them. Nick Caley calling the same offense in 2026 does not turn a 6.9% snap share into a job. Roster him only if your league has an IR spot to burn. Otherwise the spot goes to someone who can actually play this month.
