Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
Brown has played nothing this season. He missed weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 and landed on IR before week 3, so the board ranks him under every available running back and he cannot help you until he is reinstated, if that ever comes.
The role never existed anyway. We gave him 5 points for the whole 2026 season across 2 expected games, and Chicago had him listed fourth at running back behind D'Andre Swift, Kyle Monangai and Roschon Johnson. Ben Johnson keeps calling the plays himself, and nothing in his scheme was ever built around a fourth back. Last year he played 2 games, touched the ball 5 times, scored in zero red-zone chances, and his 7.1% snap share ranked RB124. His one usable week was week 9 of 2025, 9.7 points, and his other game was a 0. Widen the lens and it gets worse, not better. In 2024 he appeared in 0 of 17 games, and every one of those weeks was a healthy scratch, not an injury. His 2023 season ended after week 0 of 2023, and from week 1 of 2023 on the weekly roster carried him as RES with no body part ever named.
Drafters agreed with our read, because there was no ADP for him at all before the season. The one encouraging mark, a 1.9x touchdown share among players in his spot, went the wrong way for him: those players saw their scoring fall 0.7 a game on average the next season. With zero touchdowns on the year and no headlines pointing at a return, there is nothing to wait on, and the low end of his range sits at 0.0 points. Drop him for a live body before his bye in week 10 of 2026.
