Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
The IR designation is the entire case here. Brazzell has missed weeks 1 through 4 of 2026 and has been listed on IR since before week 3 of 2026, and while he sits there our board ranks him below every available receiver, so he cannot help a roster until he comes off it. Even before the season we only expected 3 games from him, with our 11 points spread across that tiny slate at about 3.7 a game. He has not played a single snap to test even that modest hope.
The rookie angle makes this worse, not better. He was a third-round pick of CAR in 2026, and we had him 470th overall and WR187 before a down was played. Behind Tetairoa McMillan, Jalen Coker, Xavier Legette and John Metchie III he is listed seventh among CAR wideouts, so even a healthy Brazzell was looking at a long road to targets. McMillan and Legette combined for 41% of the targets in 2025, and the top of this depth chart is not moving for a seventh receiver.
The offense he would step into does not help either. CAR played 34.1 seconds a play in 2025 and passed on 53% of situation-neutral snaps, an ordinary tempo that leaves little room for a seventh receiver to carve out work. And when CAR finally reaches the stretch that matters, weeks 15 to 17 of 2026 against CIN, PIT and SEA, there is no reason to believe he will be a part of it.
No ADP for him on our page, so a waiver add is the only way he lands on a roster, and there is no reason to be that add. Release him and spend the spot on a receiver who can play in week 6 of 2026.
