Our read

Written Mon 12:02 am Central, for week 6

Stribling is on injured reserve on Monday's report, so he won't play week 6 of 2026 against Washington. He hasn't logged a snap since week 1, when he posted 0 PPR points at Los Angeles, and he sits third on the depth chart behind Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel Sr. even when healthy. A roster spot here is doing nothing for you this week with the 49ers on the Monday 7:15 pm Central kickoff. Drop him for a fill-in unless you have a bench spot to spare, and check on his next game before keeping him around.

Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season

One game, zero points, and an IR tag that has been on him since before week 3 of 2026. That is the whole season so far for a second-round rookie who was supposed to spend year one learning behind Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel Sr. in Kyle Shanahan's offense. The 0.0 he put up in week 1 of 2026 is the only number he owns, and no headline since then hints at a return. Weeks 2, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026 are all missed games on his line.

Preseason projection119projected PPR points

Our preseason number was 119 points, which had him as WR64 on our board, and it leaned on 14 games out of a rookie at a preseason pace of 8.5 points a game. Every week on IR now docks one of those games, and the low end of our range is only there because injury-shortened seasons drag it down, which is exactly the path he is on. Even when he returns, the target picture in this offense has been crowded for years: Christian McCaffrey took 23% of the 2025 targets and George Kittle took 22%, 45% between them, so the third receiver here lives on scraps. His bye in week 8 of 2026 is still ahead too, so there is no near-week soft landing.

If you drafted him you spent a pick in the 120s hoping a round-two landing spot would matter fast. It has not, and it cannot while he sits on IR, where our board ranks him below every available player at his position. Drop him for anyone active who can help you this week, and if someone cuts him loose, a stash only makes sense once SF clears him and you have a roster spot to burn.
