Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
He came out hot in week 1 and week 2 of 2026 with 15.3 and 12.4, then dipped to 5.2 in week 3 of 2026 and 4.8 in week 4 of 2026, and the season has settled at 9.8 points a game with one touchdown. What is real is the skill. He is running into 32% of the air yards in his games, and defenders sit 3.1 yards away at the catch or incompletion, twelfth among 57 receivers with 15 or more tracked targets. That is not a scheme mirage, that is a receiver winning at the top of routes.
The problem is what is left over. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith took 54% of PHI's targets last season, and among players who changed into a room like this, points a game fell 0.9 on average from one year to the next. Wicks finished 2025 at 5.8 a game with a 12.1% target share, and his red-zone role was thin, 8.5% of his own touches. The new 10% share of red-zone carries and targets is a step up, but one touchdown in five games says the finishing remains theoretical.
Our number was 110 for the season off a 7.9-point preseason pace, and he is close to that pace now. The path to more runs through Brown or Smith missing time, nothing on the schedule. As a fourth or fifth receiver on your roster, hold him and watch the target counts. If weeks 6 and 7 of 2026 push him over ten a game again, he becomes worth a starting spot in deeper formats.
