Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
A guy on IR since before week 3 of 2026 is not helping anyone right now, and the board ranks him below every available receiver in the league. That alone decides the case for most rosters. We projected him for 3 points this season, and even that leaned on just 2 expected games, a number set before he missed weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026 entirely.
Last year is the ceiling of what he is. He played all 16 games he was healthy for and finished WR127, averaging 2.2 points a game, clearing the position's weekly median only 3 times. He cleared 15 points in just 1 of those 16 weeks, and his worst was a zero in week 1 of 2025. His snap share was 10.9%, and his target share 2.8% of a passing game that ran through Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson, who combined for 58% of the targets. He got 2 red-zone touches all season and zero inside the ten. That profile has cost players in his spot about 2 points a game year over year on average, and the crowded room behind a 29.6% touchdown-points share costs another 0.9 by our numbers.
The injury history is not new, either. In 2024 he played 0 of 17 games, 16 of them missed to injury or a reserve list, so even our 2 expected games came with a wide low end.
So the return from IR, whenever it comes, delivers the seventh receiver on a staff that is new at both head coach and play caller, into that same target picture. There is no realistic version where he outproduces a usable weekly starter. Use the spot on someone who can dress for week 6 of 2026.
