Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Wiley has not played a snap this season. Weeks 1 through 4 of 2026 passed without him, the week 5 bye came and went, and he carries an out designation going into week 6 of 2026. Even when he returns, the depth chart gives him little to chase: he is third among KC tight ends behind Travis Kelce and Noah Gray, and Kelce alone pulled 20% of the team's targets in 2025.
The 2025 record tells you why we set his number at 18 points for the whole season. Two games played, 9.9% of snaps, a 0.8% target share, zero red-zone touches and an average depth of target that ranked last among qualifying tight ends. His yards per target also slid from 7 in 2024 to 4 in 2025, so even the small window he got was less efficient than the year before.
Andy Reid still calls the plays and the opportunity has not moved. The target picture in front of him is crowded, because Rashee Rice took 29% of KC's targets in 2025 and Kelce took 20%, 48% between them. The longer history is just as thin: one appearance back in 2024, then a long stretch from week 9 of 2024 to week 18 of 2024 lost to injury or a reserve list, and across two full seasons he has suited up for exactly three games. His last appearance ended with 0 points in week 18 of 2025.
Our preseason projection of 18 points was built on 11 expected games, and he has banked none of them. If he is filling a spot for you, that spot is worth more on the wire.
