Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
He has not played a down in 2026. Weeks 1 through 5 all went by with him inactive, and since before week 3 of 2026 he has carried an IR tag, which means he cannot play at all until he comes off it. The board keeps him below every available tight end while that tag stands, so the spot he holds on your roster is producing exactly nothing and has been for a month.
Even healthy, the path was never there. TEN lists him fifth at the position, behind Gunnar Helm, Daniel Bellinger, Kylen Granson and David Martin-Robinson, and he arrived as a rookie who turned 22.6 on opening day, entering his first season with no average draft position attached to him anywhere on our board. We counted on 2 games all season and set our pace at 1.5 points a game, which is our 3-point preseason total stretched thin. There was no version of this where he mattered in 2026.
The only reason to think about him at all is Brian Daboll running a new offense in Tennessee, but a new play caller does not vault a fifth-string rookie tight end into a target tree that Calvin Ridley and Elic Ayomanor already own. Those two combined for 34% of TEN's targets in 2025, 16% for Ridley and 18% for Ayomanor, and that was with an offense that ran 54% of its situation-neutral plays as passes. Our median for him sits at 2.9 points for the season, and that assumes he sees the field at all. His bye comes in week 9 of 2026, so there is not even a roster exemption coming soon. Use the spot on someone who can play for you in week 6 of 2026.
