Our read

Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6

Kendrick Law does not play in week 6 of 2026, with the Lions on their bye and him on injured reserve on Sunday's report. He's yet to appear in a game this season, and Detroit lists him fifth among its receivers behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa and Tay Martin, so even when he's back the role starts small. He returns to action week 7 at home against Green Bay. Leave him off the lineup card this week and plug a fill-in into the spot, then decide whether the roster seat is worth keeping warm.

Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season

He has not taken the field all season. Weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 all came and went without him, he has been on IR since before week 3 of 2026, and the bye in week 6 of 2026 is still to come, so the first chance to see him in a Detroit uniform keeps sliding.

Rest of season13.8PPR points from week 6
Preseason projection7.7projected PPR points

Before the season we gave him 7.7 points for the whole year, most of that range between 1 and 15, on only 2 expected games once injury risk was counted. He is 22 years old on opening day and entering his first season, so nothing in his history argues against that number. That number looks about right given where he stands: fifth among DET wideouts, behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa and Tay Martin, in a passing game where St. Brown and Sam LaPorta took half the targets between them in 2025. The offense itself runs fast, 33.4 seconds a play, and threw on 55% of situation-neutral plays a year ago, so the volume is there if he ever climbs the depth chart. He would not lack friendly conditions either: Detroit plays 10 of its games indoors this season, and weeks 15 to 17 of 2026 bring Minnesota, the Giants and Chicago, the kind of stretch a young receiver could seize if he is ever active for it.

If you drafted him, you gave up nothing on him, since he had no ADP at all, so there is nothing to protect. But the board ranks him below every available receiver while he sits on IR. Unless you carry deep bench spots in a very large league, an active receiver helps you more right now. Let him go and check back if Detroit ever clears him.
