Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Being on IR since before week 3 of 2026 is what decides this. The board ranks him below every available running back while he sits there, so he cannot help you until it clears and there is no sign it will. Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026 have all gone by without him playing a snap, and no recent headlines suggest that is about to change.
Even setting the injury aside, the path to playing time was never there. New England lists him fourth among its backs, behind Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson and Corey Kiner, and he went undrafted out of the 2026 class as a 23-year-old rookie. Our projection gave him 2.9 points for the full season, with 1 game expected and injury risk counted, so the low end of his range bottoms out at a season he mostly does not play. Weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 have already gone that way.
The situation in front of him does not help either. Stevenson and Henderson get the touches in a backfield operating under Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels, both continuing from last season, and New England threw on 54% of situation-neutral plays in 2025, work that flowed to Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry, who took 39% of the targets between them.
The call is not close. Drop him for any healthy back who is actually playing, and if the injury report ever clears him, he still sits behind Stevenson and Henderson in that backfield. His bye in week 11 of 2026 is coming anyway, and you have no use for a fourth New England back on your roster.
