Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Nothing about the Carolina move has moved him. He's third among CAR running backs behind Chuba Hubbard, and even before week 6 of 2026 the injury report already lists him Out. Four games in, 1.7 points a game on 17 carries and 2 catches. Week 2 of 2026 actually scored negative, minus 0.3, and the other three weeks haven't cleared 3. That's the whole picture.
The real downside isn't this season's quiet start, it's the availability record. He played none of 2024, with 17 weeks missed to injury or a reserve list, then 6 of 17 in 2025, where 11 healthy weeks still brought no role. Even in those 6 games last year he held just an 11.7% snap share, RB110 among 158 qualifying running backs, and the red-zone touches came to 3 all season. Our preseason number, 26 points, assumed 10 games with the injury risk baked in, and even that came to a pace of 2.6 a game. He's 28 and in his seventh year, and the last time he produced like a fantasy back was 2023, 117.6 points over 15 games. Two seasons of nothing sit on top of it.
Why keep him at all? We can't find a reason. No ADP before the season told you no league believed in the change of scenery, and the first five weeks have only confirmed it. He cleared 15 points in zero of his 6 played weeks last year and hasn't scored in 2026. Cut him and put the roster spot on a running back who actually gets carries.
