Our read
Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6
Dyami Brown is sixth among Washington receivers behind Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams and Luke McCaffrey, and with no designation on Sunday's report he plays Monday night at San Francisco in week 6 of 2026. The published projection puts 2.4 points in PPR scoring on him. His season through week 5 says 3 PPR points a game and 0 touchdowns, and Washington lands at an expected score of 22.3 points against a 49ers group 13th of 32 against receivers, outdoors at 63 degrees with 13 mph wind. Leave him off your lineup and plug in a receiver who actually plays his way into the game plan.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The 17.8-yard average depth of target on 15 throws this season is the one thing keeping this interesting. That ranks third among the 85 receivers with at least 15 targets through week 5 of 2026, so Washington is clearly sending him downfield. The problem is that the deep shots have not turned into anything you can use. Three points a game, 8 catches, 88 yards, zero touchdowns, two weeks with a flat zero. That is the whole line of work so far.
The opportunity problem is real and it is not going away. He is listed sixth among Washington receivers, behind Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams and Luke McCaffrey, and the top of that room took 48% of the targets between them last season. He also changed teams, and among players in his spot, points a game fell 0.9 on average from one season to the next. In 2025 he got on the field for just 37.5% of snaps and held an 8.1% target share, and inside that season his snap share fell from 62% early to 10% late. None of that suggests the deep targets survive the return of a full receiving corps.
There is no availability excuse here, for what it counts. He has played all five games and carries no injury designation, and he has missed almost nothing across three seasons. The problem is purely opportunity, and the bye in week 7 of 2026 is next on the calendar. Hold him only if your roster has room for a lottery ticket on more deep targets, because our preseason number of 52 points leaves almost no room between his current pace and nothing. Otherwise there are better weekly options.
