Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
The zeros say it plainly: three games played in 2026, 0.0 points a game, and weeks 1 and 5 of 2026 spent inactive even though no injury designation has followed him since before week 1. He did clear the weekly median in 0 of 16 weeks last season either, topping 2.6 points once, so this is a season on top of a season, not a bad month.
The only thing that ever made him interesting was scoring-range work. He took 30.8% of his touches inside the red zone in 2025, fifth among 147 qualifying backs, and 15.4% inside the ten. But among backs built that way on a 3.8% snap share, that profile has cost players in his spot 10.2 points a game the following season on average, net of six factors, and he is now fourth behind Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears and Nicholas Singleton under a new staff in Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll. Nothing in the snap counts from weeks 1 to 4 of 2025, 11% falling to 1%, suggests a hidden role waiting.
The team around him does not help. Tennessee won 3 games in 2025 and worked at 35.2 seconds a play, with 54% of situation-neutral plays as passes, and his 0.4% target share that season ranked 128th among 158 qualifying backs. When he did get hurt, in 2023, it cost him 14 weeks to a reserve list, though he played 16 of 17 in 2025 with none missed.
We figured him for 15 points over 14 games before the season, about 1.1 a game, and he has not come close to that pace. His yards per touch fell from 4.7 in 2024 to 3.6 in 2025. We would release him whenever the week brings a live body worth the spot.
