Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
One catch on two targets in five games, and 0.3 points a game through week 5 of 2026. Even our preseason number, just 18 points for the whole year, looks generous now. We had him at a 1.5-point pace over the 12 games we expected him to play, and he has not come close to that in any week but one.
The role behind the numbers is a distant sixth receiver in Tampa, behind Egbuka, Godwin Jr., McMillan and Hurst on the depth chart we hold. He is 24 and undrafted out of the 2024 class, and in 2024 he played just 4 of 17 games with 11 weeks missed to injury or a reserve list. Last season he played 9.3% of snaps and took 1.3% of targets, ranking near the bottom of qualifying receivers in both, and he scored above the position's weekly median once in 17 games. The only week of 2025 where he beat 15 fantasy points came in week 6 of 2025, and that 16.4-point outing stands alone on his line all season. The 2025 competition with Egbuka and Evans eating 47% of targets between them has only tightened with everyone healthy.
The real downside is on the page already: a 33.9% touchdown-points share has cost receivers in his spot 2 points a game year over year, the crowded room another 0.9, and the 1.3x touchdown share 0.7 more. Stack those and a repeat of his 18-point season looks like the high end, not the middle of a 6-to-31 range. He has stayed available, no designation since before week 1 of 2026, but availability was never the question. Cut him before his bye in week 10 of 2026 and spend the roster spot on a wideout who is producing now.
