Our read

Conklin scores nothing this week, because Detroit is off in week 6 of 2026 with the bye. Look to week 7, a home meeting with Green Bay, where he arrives with no injury designation on Sunday's report. What waits for him there is a depth chart behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright, and a season showing 0 PPR points a game over 3 games played. Our rest-of-season order puts him at 7 PPR points, TE130 among tight ends. Stash him and plug a playing tight end into the lineup this week.
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Three games played this season, zero targets in them, and weeks 3 and 4 of 2026 spent on the sideline. That is where the argument starts and, honestly, where it ends. A tight end with no touches cannot help a fantasy roster no matter what Detroit's depth chart lists, and that list is the next problem anyway: he sits third among the Lions tight ends, behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright.
The 2025 numbers back up what 2026 is showing. A 2.3% target share with the Lions, who gave 50% of their targets to Amon-Ra St. Brown and LaPorta between them, put him at 2.9 points a game across six appearances. His snap share that year was 19.3%, TE108 among 137 qualifying tight ends, so the small role showed up in his playing time too. Zero red-zone touches, zero touches inside the ten, and a 4.5-yard average depth of target means the role was designed to produce almost nothing. We set our preseason number at 22 points for the full 2026 season, and he is tracking nowhere near that.
The one fact working for him is history: among players in his spot, points a game rose 1.3 on average the season after changing teams, and he went from LAC to DET. But that average assumes a role, and Detroit has handed him none. The decline was already running before the move, too, with his points per game falling from 7.49 in 2024 to 2.88 in 2025. With no ADP before the season, no draft pick in your league was spent on him, which is the kindest fact here. For a manager holding him, the call is to let him go and use the spot on someone actually on the field.
