The last three weeks look worse than the player. He scored 11.9, 15.5 and 12.9 across weeks 3 to 5 of 2026 after opening with 28.7 and 35.2, and the temptation in a league this time of year is to panic on a slow month. Don't. The usage that made him WR3 in 2025 is intact: he is seeing 23% of Detroit's red-zone carries and targets, first among 64 receivers with 20 or more touches of their own, and the targets keep coming, 57 through five games. The scoring has dipped, not the role.
What has slipped is after the catch. He is at minus 0.6 yards over expectation per catch on 37 tracked catches, WR55 among 58, and his 2.8 yards of average separation sits 27th of 57. That profile has cost receivers in his spot real points on weeks like these, and it explains why a 31% air-yards share of the team's routes is producing 12-point games instead of 20s. Our preseason number was 295 points, 19.7 a game over 15 expected games, and 20.8 a game so far says the pace is fine even with the cold stretch.
