The availability angle has flipped hard. He played all 17 games in 2023, 2024 and 2025 without a single miss, and our preseason read gave him 15 games. Instead he sat out weeks 4 and 5 of 2026 and carries an O designation going back to before week 6. That alone does not sink a 31-year-old quarterback, but it stacks on top of the real problem: 11.7 points a game through his three weeks, against our preseason pace of 16.9 a game. He has not cleared 13 points in any of them.

The year-over-year slide was already on the page before this season. He went from 21.4 points a game in 2024, a QB4 finish, down to 15.76 in 2025 at QB12. Our number of 253 for 2026 expected him to land closer to that 2024 form than to last year's slide, and weeks 1 through 3 of 2026 have not given us any of it. Zac Robinson calling plays for the first year is the part we cannot verify yet, but nothing in the early output says the offense found a new gear. The pressure profile does not help: blitzed on 36% of his charted dropbacks and pressured on 25% of 118 dropbacks.
Our call for a roster holding him: do not drop him this week, because QB11 in our ranking still means a starting spot in most leagues and he may return soon. But if week 7 of 2026 comes and goes with another sub-13-point game, the hold expires.
