Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Nobody at ADP 174.4 was supposed to hand you a top-12 scoring pace, but that is what Brissett is doing. Ten touchdowns through five games of 2026, 16.9 a game against the 13.1 our preseason pace gave him, and the accuracy is not smoke. He is completing 5.5 percentage points over expectation, fourth among the 35 quarterbacks with 50 or more tracked attempts, and he is getting rid of it in 2.62 seconds while pressured on 21% of his dropbacks. Blitzed on 29% of charted dropbacks and still comfortable, that is a functioning offense quarterback.
The case for keeping him is the case for the position he plays: our projection gave him only 12 games for 157 points, and he has played every week so far, no designation since before week 1 of 2026. Even a couple of missed weeks from here leaves the scoring rate doing the work, because the 2025 version of this, 16.1 a game across 14 starts and above the weekly median 11 times, is what he is repeating, not exceeding wildly.
The real caution is what sits behind him on the board. He has one player left in his tier before a 15.9-point cliff, so there is no obvious replacement producing at this level if he cools off. Our number was 20 points under the average season for quarterbacks drafted around his ADP, and he is beating that handily. Hold him as your QB2 and start him with confidence until the touchdowns dry up, with his bye in week 14 of 2026 as the only planned gap.
