Our read

Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season

Injured reserve since before week 3 of 2026, five missed weeks and counting, and no headline even hinting at a return. While he sits there he plays nothing, and our board ranks him below every available tight end.

Even when healthy, the role never supported a roster spot. He was listed fifth among Philadelphia tight ends this summer behind Goedert, Mundt, Stowers and Jenkins, and in 2025 he managed a 3.2% share of all Philadelphia targets on an offense where Brown and Smith took 54% of all targets between them. That share fell from 7.2% the year before, and his yards per target dropped from 9.9 to 5.8 with it. His snap share was 40.1%, 62nd among 137 qualifying tight ends, and inside the red zone he got just 3 touches all season, 61st among 126 qualifying tight ends. The team kept its head coach in Nick Sirianni but handed play calling to Sean Mannion, and nothing in that change suggests a bigger role for the fifth guy.

The season-long shape is grim. We gave him 11 points for all of 2026, built on an expectation of just 3 games because we saw the health risk coming, and he has already burned past that. In 2025 he topped the position's weekly median in only 2 of 9 games and never cleared 15 points once, and Philadelphia dressed him down for 6 healthy weeks that whole year on top of the two he missed hurt. Every tier behind him is worth more on an active roster. Drop him if the spot has any use at all, and revisit only if he comes off IR and a depth chart shakeup opens actual targets.
