Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
The one game tells you what to expect. Week 2 of 2026, 2 carries, 59 passing yards, minus 0.04 points, and no touchdowns anywhere in the totals. He missed weeks 1, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026 before it, and he is still carrying an O designation going into week 6 of 2026. Our preseason number, 13 points for the whole season, was built on just 2 expected games once injury risk counted, and the 0 to 6 game range was already honest about how this would go. He is pacing under even that, at 0.0 points a game against the 6.5 a game we set before the season.
The role explains the emptiness. He is a 22-year-old undrafted rookie out of the 2026 class, listed fourth among ATL quarterbacks behind Tua Tagovailoa, Michael Penix Jr. and Cooper Rush. New head coach Kevin Stefanski and new play caller Tommy Rees have no reason to burn a live game on the fourth arm in the room. Nothing in the ATL setup changes that: Drake London and Kyle Pitts soaked up 53% of the 2025 target pie, and this offense is not built around a fourth-string rookie.
The case was thin before the season and it has not gained anything since. He has no path to snaps this year unless injuries hit two names ahead of him, and even then the middle range of outcomes, 1 to 25 points, tells you the upside is a usable week or two at most. With his bye in week 11 of 2026 still ahead and no headline pushing him, the spot is better spent on a weekly starter. Holding him one more stretch for whatever news comes out of Atlanta next is fine, but do not talk yourself into more than that.
