Jacory Croskey-Merritt is Out on Sunday's report, so he does not play in week 6 of 2026 and your running back spot needs a fill-in. Rachaad White sits second on the Washington depth chart behind him, with Kaytron Allen and Jeremy McNichols after, and White is the first place we look. The matchup travels well anyway: San Francisco ranks 23rd of 32 against running backs, giving up 23.2 PPR points a game through week 5. Keep him on the roster and circle week 7 for his return.

Nine points a game through five weeks of 2026, and the runs are doing none of the earning. He's 0.3 yards below expected per carry, 17 yards short in all on 58 tracked carries across weeks 1, 2, 3 and 5 of 2026, and 1.4 yards after contact puts him RB44 among 53 backs. So the production is riding on scoring, and that's the shape that worries us: 34.2% of his points come from touchdowns, a profile that has cost backs in his spot 6.2 points a game from one season to the next. Two touchdowns in five weeks is a thin foundation.
The scoring-range work has ticked up. He's at 20% of Washington's red-zone carries and targets in his games, 7 of 35, and 18% of the carries and targets inside the ten, 3 of 17. But the efficiency underneath is the problem, and David Blough calling plays for the first time keeps the usage picture unsettled. Rachaad White and Kaytron Allen sit behind him, so the job is his for now, and week 5 of 2026's 14.2 points shows the top end is still reachable.
He has played every week, though the O designation hanging on him going into week 6 of 2026 needs watching, and the week 7 of 2026 bye lands right after. We'd hold him through the bye and give Blough's offense a few weeks to show what the touches look like. If the inside-ten carries stay this thin by week 10 of 2026 and the below-expected rushing keeps up, we'd move him out and take the flex spot in another direction. Our projection had him at 105 points, and the first five weeks haven't done anything to beat it.
