Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Five weeks of 2026 have produced exactly nothing: 0 targets, 0 catches, 0.0 points a game. That alone decides whether he belongs on a roster, and it is not close. He was a 2.5-point-a-game tight end across three games in 2025, never topped 6.1 points in a week, and did not see a single red-zone touch all of last season. His average target last year sat just 3.0 yards downfield, TE104 among 125 qualifying tight ends, so even the catches he did make came with nothing attached.
The path was always buried. He is listed fourth among Buffalo tight ends behind Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes, an undrafted second-year player on a team that threw 51% of the time in neutral situations last year. Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman soaked up 37% of Buffalo's targets between them in 2025, and the tight end room sits ahead of him in that queue too. A new staff in Joe Brady and Pete Carmichael Jr. was the only hopeful angle, and five scoreless weeks have killed even that. Our preseason number was 27 points for the season, and he has not banked a single one toward it. We had him TE98 before the season and he has underperformed even that, and in our tier he sits with two players ahead of a 3.8-point cliff to the next group.
So this is a practice-squad profile, not a fantasy one, in a 24.1-year-old second season that has confirmed it. Drop him, pick up a tight end with a real target path, and check back on him only if injuries ahead of him on the depth chart force Buffalo's hand.
