Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Four missed weeks, then a zero in week 5 of 2026 in his only appearance. That is the season so far for a tight end carrying an O designation going into week 6 of 2026, and his 0.0 points a game sits well under our preseason pace of 2.2.
The 2025 usage is the reason we were never excited. Seven touches all season, TE82 among 137 qualifying tight ends, on a 23.1% snap share that ranked TE98. He cleared 15 points in none of his 12 played weeks, and his best was 7 in week 18 of 2025. His target share fell from 6.3% in 2024 to 1.9% last year, yards per target slid from 5.9 to 4.4, and he topped the position's weekly median exactly once in 12 games. The move from PHI to TEN was supposed to be a fresh start, but TEN's own 2025 target picture ran through Elic Ayomanor and Calvin Ridley, and the depth chart now lists him third behind Gunnar Helm under a completely new staff in Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll. Nothing in that setup says the targets are coming.
What worries us is that the fall looks like a trajectory, not a role problem: three straight seasons down the tight end ranks, from TE31 in 2023 to TE60 in 2024 to TE91 in 2025, and that decline has cost players in his spot their jobs by year's end. With one target and zero catches through five weeks of 2026, there is no signal to wait for. Drop him and use the roster spot on anyone with a path to targets.
