Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
Two catches on three targets through five weeks of 2026 tells you everything about why he does not belong on a fantasy roster. The zeros in weeks 1, 3 and 5 of 2026 sit next to a 3.7 in week 2 and a 1.9 in week 4, so even his one usable game cleared nothing. We set him at 21 points for the season on a preseason pace of 1.8 a game over 12 expected games, and he is delivering 1.1. That gap is not bad luck, it is the absence of any role.
The depth chart tells you why. He is listed fifth among LV receivers, behind Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech and Malik Benson, after changing teams from SEA to LV with Klint Kubiak and Andrew Janocko now running the offense. In 2025 Bowers took 24% of the targets and Tucker 19%, and Young was down at a 1.2% target share on a 9.2% snap share over eight games. Among players in his spot, points a game fell 0.9 on average from one season to the next, and his 1.1 this season sits under that already grim figure.
One wrinkle: his 19.0-yard average depth of target in 2025 ranked 11th among 223 qualifying receivers, so when he does get fed, it is downfield. But he caught just two passes on it and the red-zone touches were zero, meaning the big-play path only pays if the targets come, and they have not. He has stayed healthy this season, unlike weeks 1 and 9 to 15 of 2025, yet availability without a role earns nothing. Cut him and put the roster spot on a receiver who actually gets chances weekly.
