Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Five weeks of 2026, five games played, and the totals read zero across the board: no targets, no catches, no carries, 0.0 points a game. That is not a slow build, that is a player who has not gotten on the field in a way that touches the stat sheet at all.
The situation behind him is thin. He is listed sixth among PIT receivers, behind DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman, Roman Wilson and Germie Bernard, and the whole offensive staff is new, with Mike McCarthy running the show and Brian Angelichio calling plays. A 24.5-year-old rookie on opening day has no track record with this staff and no settled role, and the 22% target share Metcalf carried in 2025 is not walking down to the sixth man. We expected 10 games and 4.2 points a game from him before the season, and he has dressed for all five weeks without a designation, so availability is not the issue. The production is simply not there.
We had him penciled in for 42 points across the full 2026 season, with most outcomes landing between 24 and 60, and nothing in five weeks suggests the top of that range is live. If you are in a league deep enough to stash a sixth-round rookie wideout, fine, but in most formats the roster spot is better spent on someone with a path to targets this month. The week 9 of 2026 bye is coming, and there is no reason to carry him into it.
