Chig Okonkwo and Washington head to San Francisco in week 6 of 2026, and the published projection has him at 7.1 points in PPR scoring. The 49ers hold tight ends to 8 PPR points a game, 4th of 32 through week 5. He's clear on Sunday's report and first among the Commanders tight ends, but he's managing 5.4 PPR points a game with 0 touchdowns this season. Keep him benched and find a fill-in for Monday night.

Ten points in week 5 of 2026 was his best day since week 16 of 2025, and it came in an offense that actually throws, which is the whole reason he changed teams. But three games is a thin ledger. He missed weeks 2 and 3 of 2026, and across 13 targets he has 8 catches for 81 yards with zero touchdowns. A tight end who does not score tops out exactly where he did last season, TE21 among 137 qualifying tight ends on 124 points, and he cleared 15 points just once in 17 weeks.
The real drag is the scoring range, and it followed him from TEN. Last year he took only 6.3% of his own touches in the red zone, TE97 among 126 qualifying tight ends, with 5 red-zone touches and 3 inside the ten. That kind of profile costs players in his spot points every week, and it will not fix itself fast in WSH, where Deebo Samuel Sr. and Terry McLaurin took 48% of the targets between them in 2025 and David Blough is a new play caller installing his own offense. The role at least is clean: first among WSH tight ends, with John Bates and Ben Sinnott behind him, after a year of 63.1% snaps and 14.9% of targets in Tennessee.
Our number was 94 points for 2026, TE22 on our board, built on 16 games. Two missed weeks already shave at that, though there has been no injury designation since before week 5 of 2026. With his bye in week 7 of 2026 up next, hold him as tight end depth and keep him benched until the end zone shows up.
