Our read

Written Sep 8, from his facts through last season

Seventeen healthy scratches in 2025. That is the whole case against drafting him. He was on the roster all year, missed nothing to injury or a reserve list, and never got on the field, with his snap share sinking from 12% to 4% across the stretch the sheet tracked. Our number has him at 2 season points and TE146, and the middle range of outcomes runs from -2 to 5.

The availability picture does not help. We expect 3 games, with a realistic range of 0 to 9 once injury risk is in. Even in 2024, his best recent season, 12 games and TE45, he was sitting out healthy weeks. In 2023 he played a single game all year, and it did not come until week 18. He is 33.5 years old entering season 11, changed teams from LA to BAL, and Brian Fleury is a new play caller with no reason to lean on him. There is no injury designation as of September 9, which only means he is not on a report, not that anyone is drawing up targets for him.

No ADP on file tells you the rest. He is not part of anyone's plan. The books posted Baltimore's win total at 10.5, so the team should be winning, and none of it needs to run through him. Let him go, and do not spend a late pick hoping the new situation in BAL revives him. If a tight end goes down in Baltimore during camp, revisit him then. Otherwise he is a waiver-wire afterthought, not a draft pick.
