Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
He has not played a down in 2026, on the reserve list since before week 1 of 2026, with no headlines pointing to a return. That is five weeks of the season gone and the bye still ahead in week 14 of 2026.
Even before the absence, there was nothing to hold onto. He is listed fourth among Arizona tight ends, and Trey McBride took 27% of the Cardinals' targets in 2025, with Michael Wilson adding 20%. Reiman's own 2025 numbers never cleared the bottom of the position: 36.7% of snaps, a 3.8% target share, zero red-zone touches. The whole season came to 5 points, TE101 among 137 qualifying tight ends, and his best week was 2.8 points in week 3 of 2025. He cleared 15 points in 0 of his 3 played weeks, and his worst was 0 in week 5 of 2025, the week his season ended. His yards per target fell from 5.3 in 2024 to 3.6 in 2025, so even the meager usage got less productive. Two new coaches in LaFleur and Hackett offer a clean slate in theory, but a third-round third-year player sitting fourth does not have a claim waiting for them.
The availability read was poor going in: we expected 12 games from him before the season, and he has already missed weeks 1 through 5 of 2026. Our projection gave him 43 points for the full year, with most outcomes landing between 27 and 58. He went undrafted in your league before the season, and nothing in the first five weeks argues for changing that. There is no version of this roster where the spot is better spent holding a fourth tight end with no return date.
