Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
One catch in five weeks. That is not a slow start, it is a player Tampa Bay does not use. He sits second among Buccaneers tight ends behind Cade Otton, and even Otton's own target competition is brutal with Emeka Egbuka and Mike Evans combining for 47% of Tampa's targets last season. Durham's slice of that 2025 pie was 0.7%, TE117 among 137 qualifying tight ends. Nothing in the new Zac Robinson offense has changed it through week 5 of 2026.
The counting stats tell the same story: 2 targets, 1 catch, 5 receiving yards and 0 touchdowns across the five games. Last season he finished with 2 points over 8 games, TE114 among 137 qualifying tight ends, and he never cleared 15 points in any week, his worst being 0 in week 1 of 2025. The scoring-range work was just as thin, with 1 red-zone touch in 2025, TE78 among 126 qualifying tight ends, and 0 touches inside the ten.
The decline is real and dated. His points a game went from 4.31 in 2024 to 0.26 in 2025, and his yards per target fell from 8.2 to 2.8 over the same stretch. This season he has played every week, no injuries, and still cannot reach the median, with 1.5 points in week 5 of 2026 standing as his best. Our preseason number was 46 points, 3.3 a game over 14 games, and he is running nowhere near that pace.
There is no fantasy case here in any format. He has not missed a game this season, so it is not health, it is role. Let him go and spend the spot on a tight end whose team actually routes him onto the field.
