Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
Kiner is third on New England's running back depth chart behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, and the touch count tells you exactly what that means. Twenty carries and two targets through five weeks of 2026, 1.9 points a game, no touchdowns. His best week was 4.9 in week 5 of 2026. That is not a role that can swing a matchup for you in any format deeper than a 20-teamer.
The scoring chances are the real problem. He has 9% of the team's red-zone carries and targets in his games, 3 of 35, and just 1 of 17 touches inside the ten. A back living outside the scoring range with 2 catches on the season cannot reach the weekly bar unless everything ahead of him falls apart. Last season he topped the position's weekly median once in four games and finished 2.3 points a game, so this year is no surprise so much as a continuation. The 2025 snap share backed that up at 12.8%, RB106 among 158 qualifying running backs, and New England kept him inactive for the first three months of the 2025 season even though nothing was wrong with him physically. He is an undrafted second-year player out of the 2025 class, and in our tier there is one player left ahead of a 1.9-point cliff, so there is nothing waiting below him.
We saw him as a 31-point season for 2026, our number built on 9 expected games, and he has played every week so availability has not been his issue. The issue is that even a fully healthy season at this usage bottoms out near the middle of our range. Drop him and carry a running back who can actually touch the ball inside the ten.
