Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Six games in and he has played every one, which is more than his availability record promised. It has not mattered. He is at 5.4 points a game, the week 3 of 2026 spike of 10.8 is the only week you would have wanted, and he is still listed second among SEA running backs behind Brady Russell and Jadarian Price.
The role is the problem and it has not changed. Last season he played 5.3% of Seattle's snaps, and his touches came squeezed into the scoring area: 20.8% of his own touches came in the red zone, RB26 among 147 backs, on almost no total volume. That shape is back. In weeks 1 to 5 of 2026 he took 14% of his team's red-zone carries and targets, 7 of 51, and 11% of the work inside the ten. One touchdown so far, on 97 rush yards all season.
A back living on touchdowns like that tends to fall off hard the next year, and the numbers back it up: that profile has cost players in his spot 3.4 points a game on average the following season, net of two factors. His 3.7 a game from 2025 fits another one of those groups that dropped 1.6. Our preseason number gave him 27 points for 2026 and a pace of 2.5 a game over the 11 games we expected, and he is beating that pace while still being worth nothing to you weekly.
With his bye in week 11 of 2026 coming, drop him and spend the spot on someone who can start for you.
