Our read
Written Mon 12:02 am Central, for week 6
Stefon Diggs sits on Monday's report as Questionable, and with kickoff Monday 7:15 pm Central you'll be waiting on his status into game day for week 6 of 2026. He sat out week 5 after two rough weeks, 8.5 PPR points and then 7.3 PPR points, so there's little recent production to lean on. The published projection gives him 10.8 points. San Francisco ranks 13th of 32 against receivers, giving up 29.4 PPR points a game to the position, and he's behind Terry McLaurin for a Washington offense expected to score 22.3 points. Hold him and check his status before Monday night.
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
The questionable tag matters more than the stat line right now. He sat out week 5 of 2026 and is still listed questionable heading into week 6, and this is a 32.8-year-old whose 2024 season ended after week 8 of that year with nine weeks on a reserve list. We expected 13 games from him before the season, at 11.8 points a game, and availability is the part that keeps going sideways. The four weeks he did play were fine, 13.3 points a game with three touchdowns on 31 targets, so production is not the problem. The body is the question.
The other thing to carry is the decline we already watched once. His points per game fell from 15.24 in 2024 to 12.37 in 2025, and the Washington offense does not fix that by itself. Deebo Samuel Sr. took 25% of the targets in 2025 and Terry McLaurin took 23%, 48% between them, and Diggs sits second among WSH receivers behind McLaurin. His red-zone work was thin too, 11.8% of his own touches last season. The air-yard picture is better, a 22% share of team air yards through five weeks of 2026, so the deep chances are there even if the end-zone looks are not. New play caller David Blough gets a full season to sort it out.
Our preseason number was 153 points, with most outcomes landing between 118 and 189, and the first month did not move our read. Hold him through the questionable tag and start him the week he is a full go. His bye in week 7 of 2026 gives you a free week to see whether he gets back on the field. If he is missing games again after that, we would move on and spend the roster spot elsewhere.
