Our read
Written Sep 8, from his facts through last season
Start with the games, because that is the whole argument. We expect him to suit up about 3 times this season, maybe 8 if things break right, and even in the weeks he dressed last year he averaged 1.1 points. He went over the position's weekly median in zero of his three appearances. That is not a small-sample receiving profile, that is a fifth receiver's profile. The snap share sat at 6.2%, his target share at 3.3%, and his average depth of target was 4.7 yards, bottom of the league. He never touched the ball inside the ten.
The context does him no favors either. He changed teams, going from LV to LA, and lands in a target room our numbers dock him 0.9 a game for. The books make the Rams an 11.5-win team, which sounds great until you notice a strong team game script costs him 0.8 a game in our projection, because he is not part of why they win. He is 30, undrafted back in 2019, and McVay has shown no reason to feature him.
Our number has him at 2 points for the season, rank 633 overall. There is no ADP on file, which tells you drafters are not spending a pick on him at all. Agree with them. He is not worth a final roster spot, and there is no scenario where I draft him. If a name like this comes up in the last round, take a dart on someone with a real path to snaps instead.
