Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Five missed weeks, then IR. David Sills V has played no football in 2026, and with the designation now official he plays no game until the team pulls him off it, which at 31 with no recent headlines is no kind of certainty on the calendar. Any roster spot on him is an empty one.
Even in the best version of this player, the numbers never got there. Twelve games with ATL in 2025 produced 4.1 points a game, WR111 among qualifying receivers, and the ceiling in any of those weeks was 13.8 back in week 15 of 2025. He topped the position's weekly median 4 times and never cleared 15 in a week. The role explains it: 6.9% of the targets, WR128, with Egbuka and Evans absorbing 47% of Tampa's targets between them in 2025, and Tampa has since added Godwin Jr. and McMillan in front of him at fourth on the depth chart or better. He does get inside the scoring area, 6 red-zone touches and a 24.4% share of his fantasy points coming from touchdowns, but that profile has shed 0.9 points a game on average among players in his spot from one year to the next.
The availability record is uglier than the projection. He played 0 of 17 games in both 2023 and 2024, and the 12 games in 2025 were his only work since the 2019 draft.
We projected 13 points for the whole season on 3 expected games, and the middle range runs 3 to 23 with injuries dragging the bottom down. He is already living in the bad tail. There is nothing to wait on here, so use the spot on someone who can actually take a snap in week 6 of 2026.
