Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The first fact is that weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 all went by without him playing, five missed in all, and there is no designation on him going into week 6 of 2026. We expected 14 games from him when we set our 102 points for the season, and with five of them already gone he would have to outplay the 7.3 a game we penciled in just to get back near that total. Watch what happens the next time the Giants take the field before believing any of it.
The deeper problem is that even the healthy version was thin. Last season he went 6.8 points a game over 14 weeks, WR65 among 240, and never cleared 15 points in a single week, with a 0 in week 1 of 2025. The 15.2% target share and 81% snap share look like a path until you see Wan'Dale Robinson and Malik Nabers took 58% of the targets between them in 2025, and a crowded room like this has cost players in his spot 0.9 points a game on average. That drag has to show up in the same season he is trying to make up five missed weeks.
So here is the call: if he is sitting on your roster, the spot has been dead weight since week 1 of 2026. Let him go and add a live body, unless his first game back comes with word that the new staff in New York has a real plan for him behind Nabers. Otherwise there is nothing here to wait on.
