Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
Four catches on seven targets in five weeks, that is the whole season so far for Colby Parkinson. He has 1.6 points a game in 2026, and one of the weeks he played was a zero, week 3 of 2026. He sat out week 4 of 2026 as his only missed game, but he has carried no injury designation since before week 6 of 2026, so he should be out there against a schedule that keeps running. Our preseason pace for him was 5.7 points a game, and he is nowhere near it. The 86 points we projected for the full season are not coming close to happening at this rate.
What is strange is that the profile worked last year. He scored 9.3 points a game over 14 games in 2025, above the position's weekly median in 11 of them, and he got there almost entirely on scoring-range work: 22 red-zone touches put him TE4 among 126 qualifying tight ends, with 10 touches inside the ten. He was TE9 in red-zone share of his own touches. That kind of profile does not age well, and among players in his spot, points a game fell 0.7 the next season on average. This year the touchdowns are at zero and the targets are trickling, so the fall has been worse than the average.
There is a real path for him to matter again, because Los Angeles still throws 63% of the time and Nacua and Adams soaked up 55% of targets in 2025, leaving scraps that Parkinson turned into a top-five red-zone role. Until those touches show up again, though, he is a roster hole in week 6 of 2026. Hold only in the deepest formats, and even there you are waiting on end-zone usage that has not appeared once this season.
