Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Parkinson is listed first in LA, Higbee second, and that ordering matches the usage: 4% of the team's red-zone carries and targets in his games through week 5 of 2026, TE22 among 23 tight ends with 20 or more of their own. When Nacua and Adams together took 55% of LA's targets last season, 11.2% left over for a tight end crew is what you get.
The catch rate is real, 20 of 25 targets, and he has played every week, but the profile is shallow. He is averaging -0.4 yards after the catch over expectation on 18 tracked catches, TE17 among 20 with 10 or more, and 1 touchdown in five games. Weeks 3 to 5 of 2026 gave him 20.2, 11.7 and 13.3 after the 1.2 and 0 to open the year, so the recent run is the good version and it is still under 14 twice. His 2.8 yards of separation on 23 tracked targets ranks TE14 among 18 tight ends, and he is getting 11% of the team's air yards. Last season he cleared the position's weekly median in 7 of his 10 games and never cleared 15 points more than once, and his best week needed week 18 of 2025 to happen at all.
Our preseason pace for him was 4.6 points a game, and at 9.3 he is running well past it. Our full-season projection stays 60 points, and he missed 14 games in 2024 and 7 in 2025, he is 33.7, and we had him TE55. In a two-tight-end or deep league, hold him through the week 11 of 2026 bye. Anywhere shallower, the spot is better spent on someone who can score more than once.
