Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Week 2 of 2026 gave him 18.3 points and both his touchdowns. Strip that one out and the season is 4.8, 10.1 and 6.6, which is the tight end you drafted nothing for and hoped to never need. Our preseason number was 44 points, built on 13 expected games at 3.4 a game, and he is beating that pace only because one week bailed out the other three.
The usage case keeps thinning. He ran a 44.9% snap share in 2025 with a 14.3% target share, and now he sits third on the CAR depth chart behind Tommy Tremble while Tetairoa McMillan and Xavier Legette combined for 41% of the 2025 targets. A 7.4-yard average depth of target over 19 targets ranks TE9 among tight ends with 15 or more targets, so the catches he does make are short ones. He has stayed on the field all five weeks, but the seasons behind him say not to count on that. He played only 9 of 17 games in 2025 and missed 5 weeks in 2023, and at 34 in year 12 the next missed stretch is always one week away.
The number that shaves him: players in his spot, carrying a 1.3x touchdown share, lost 0.7 points a game on average from one season to the next. That lands right on the weeks he is already giving you. We had him TE83 overall before the season, no ADP attached. That was fair then and it is fair now. Stream him for the week 15 to 17 of 2026 stretch against CIN, PIT and SEA if you are desperate, otherwise keep looking.
