Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Fagnano has sat through every week of 2026 so far, weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of 2026, without playing a down, and nothing in the news or the injury report suggests that is about to change. The simplest read is the right one: an undrafted rookie does not see the field for a team that employs Lamar Jackson, and Tyler Huntley sits ahead of him as the backup too. He is 25.4 years old on opening day and came out of the 2026 class without a draft call, so this is not a young project with runway in front of him either. The staff around him is brand new, with Jesse Minter taking over as head coach and Declan Doyle calling plays for the first time this year, and a new regime has no reason to burn a game day on the third quarterback.
We had him at 12 points for the whole season, built on just 2 expected games once injury risk was counted, a preseason pace of 6.0 points a game. He has already burned all five weeks of the season without scoring a point, so even the tiny number we set is slipping away. The middle of his range runs from 1 to 23 points, and the low end there exists because seasons like this one go missing entirely.
There is no case to make here. He is QB77 on our board, deep enough that 2 players in his tier sit ahead of him before a 3.1-point cliff separates the group from nobody worth owning. His bye in week 13 of 2026 does not matter when he is not playing ahead of it. Release him and use the roster spot on a player who can produce for you this month.
