Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Four games, 5.8 points a game, zero touchdowns. Nothing else on his page matters more than that right now, and until it turns around it outweighs everything in his favor. Week 5 of 2026 he did not play, and he carries an O designation into week 6 of 2026, so the availability we counted on before the season, 14 expected games, is already slipping.
The legs are not the problem. On 30 tracked carries across weeks 1 and 3 of 2026 he is averaging +1.4 rushing yards over expected, RB4 among 36 backs, and 2.6 yards after contact a carry, RB6 among 53. He runs fine. What vanished is the touch profile that drove his 2024 scoring: this season he gets 14% of the red-zone carries and targets in his games, RB46 among 65, and just 2 of 18 carries and targets inside the ten. Last year the same thinning showed up in-season, target share 17% in weeks 1 to 4 of 2025 down to 7% by weeks 14 to 17. Sean Mannion calling plays now does not fix that on its own.
Our preseason number was 231 points, RB7 at the position, against a 16.5-point pace. He is 10 points under that pace through four weeks and turn 29.6 on opening day in his ninth season. The 2024 to 2025 fall, 21.83 points a game to 14.39, looks less like noise now. We would sit him for week 6 of 2026 and keep him on your roster only if you have a spare spot, because the RB4-grade rushing is the reason to wait one more stretch.
