Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
The injury report is the whole thing with Hall right now. He finished the 2025 season on it, Out with a knee from week 18 of 2025 on, and he has now missed weeks 4 and 5 of 2026 with an Out designation still standing ahead of the next game. We expected 15 games from him before the season, at 12.8 points a game on our way to 192 points. Two missed weeks already eat into that, and a knee problem that has followed him into week 6 of 2026 is not the kind you shrug off while your lineup waits.
When he was on the field this year, the role was real. He got 40% of the team's red-zone carries and targets in his games, RB15 among 65 backs, and 50% of the carries and targets inside the ten, RB9 among that same group. That is touchdown volume you can work with, and it is why the 14.2 points a game over three starts still reads as a usable running back.
The worry is what happens between the twenties. He is averaging 1.4 yards after contact a carry, RB47 among 53 backs with at least 25 carries, and -0.2 yards per carry over expected on 51 tracked carries. That kind of efficiency drags a back's weeks down when the touchdowns dry up, and his target share already slid from 13.8% in 2024 to 10.7% in 2025. There are three backs left in his tier before an 18.8-point drop in our numbers, so a hold makes sense if your roster can carry him while he gets back. But he has to look like a football player again before you trust him in a lineup.
