Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
Stowers has been on IR since before week 3 of 2026, and weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 all went by without him playing a down. While he sits on that list he plays nothing and the board ranks him below every tight end who can dress. His bye comes in week 10 of 2026, so even the best case means one more dead week before he can return.
The path is thin even once he is back. He is listed third among PHI tight ends, behind Dallas Goedert and ahead of only Johnny Mundt and two others. He is a 23-year-old rookie, and we hold no ADP for him, so there was no consensus on his role before the season. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 54% of the targets in 2025, so the leftovers for any tight end here are modest to begin with.
Before the season we gave him 64 points across 13 expected games, a pace of 4.9 a game, and that already counted on him moving up the depth chart. Every week he misses shaves into it. The middle of the range most outcomes fall in runs 46 to 83, and injuries are what pull the low tail of 29 down. A new play caller in Sean Mannion gives a rookie a fresh slate, but Goedert stands in front of him and the season is half gone. If you are stashing a tight end, hold him only on a deep bench. Otherwise let him go and find someone who can play in week 6 of 2026.
