Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
We put 12 points on Randall for the whole 2026 season before it started, and that number leaned on just 2 expected games, with the middle range of outcomes running 2 to 22. We never projected him to have touches worth using. He came in as a 22 year old rookie, listed fourth among Baltimore running backs behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Rasheen Ali, behind a fullback in the first grouping. That is not a path to touches.
He has played none of weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 and has carried an IR designation since before week 3 of 2026. While that designation stands, the board ranks him below every available back at the position and he cannot score a point for you. No recent headlines even hint at a return date. Our preseason pace was 6.0 points a game over the 2 games we expected him to play, and he has yet to log one of them.
The case was thin before the season, and five missed weeks have made it thinner still. Baltimore brought in a new head coach in Jesse Minter and a new play caller in Declan Doyle, so there is no established pecking order he was guaranteed a piece of, and the 2025 target distribution ran through Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews anyway. Even when he does return, weeks 15 to 17 of 2026 send him to PIT and CIN around a home date with CLE, hardly a soft landing for a rookie trying to get his first carry.
We would drop him and put the roster spot on a back who can help you this week. If someone in your league wants to stash him, fine, but he cannot be on an active roster of yours while he sits on that list.
