Our read

Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6

The Dolphins are on their bye in week 6 of 2026, so Wright is out of lineups this week and the empty roster spot needs a fill-in from a team actually playing. His next chance is week 7, away at the Jets with a 12:00 pm Central kickoff. When Miami returns he's still behind De'Von Achane and Ollie Gordon II, and 0.7 PPR points a game over four games with 0 touchdowns shows how thin his touches run. In our rest-of-season order he sits at 22.8 PPR points, RB93, so keep him stashed.

Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season

Four games this season, four weeks of nothing: -0.1 in week 1 of 2026, 1.1 in week 2, 0.7 in week 4, 1.1 in week 5. Fourteen carries, 28 rushing yards, zero targets, zero touchdowns. Last season he showed a pulse, 5.4 points a game over nine weeks with a 16.7-point peak in week 14 of 2025, but that ran on a 21.9% snap share and 12 red-zone touches, a third-string profile that needed injuries or blowouts to matter. Whatever version of him we counted on before the season has not shown up.

The path has not improved. He sits second among Miami running backs behind De'Von Achane, with Ollie Gordon II behind him, and both the head coach and the play caller are new in 2026, so there is no prior-year commitment to lean on. Zero targets through four weeks stings most in PPR, because the small receiving role that lifted him from 2.05 to 5.36 points a game between 2024 and 2025 has simply vanished. The only mild good news is health: no designation since before week 5 of 2026, and the one miss this year was week 3 of 2026. Even that only matters if a role reappears, and nothing in the first month says it will.

He cleared 15 points once in nine games last season. Our preseason pace for him was 3.8 points a game over the 12 games we expected, and he is running nowhere close to it. With the week 6 of 2026 bye coming and 15 players clustered in his tier before a real drop, the spot he occupies is worth more elsewhere. Let him go and find a running back with a clearer weekly role.
