Our read
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Sitting on IR since before week 3 of 2026 is what kills his case outright. He plays nothing for you while he sits on it, and the board already ranks him below every available running back. Even if he came back tomorrow, the job is not there. Los Angeles lists him third behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, and Sean McVay keeps calling the plays himself, which means no scheme change is coming to open a lane for a third back.
When he did play, week 1 of 2026, it was 5 carries for 19 yards and one catch, 3.4 points. Last season told the same story over six games: 2.5% of the snaps, no targets worth counting, zero red-zone touches. He topped the position's weekly median in none of those six games, cleared 15 points in none of them, and his worst was 0 in week 13 of 2025. Running backs in his spot gained about a point a game year over year on average, so even the modest path upward does not bend his way.
The history is not hiding anything either. He appeared in just 6 of 17 games in each of the last two seasons, and both times the healthy weeks he sat were the reason, not injury. His best full season was 2023, 20.1 points across 9 games, and he is now 27.6 entering his fifth year.
We had him at 15 points for the season, 1.3 a game over the 12 games we expected, and he will not approach that from the IR list. Drop him and use the roster spot on someone who can take a snap for you this month.
