Our read
Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6
Miami sits on its bye in week 6 of 2026, so Kacmarek plays nothing this week and scores no points. His next game comes in week 7 away at the Jets, a 12:00 pm Central kickoff on Sunday, and there is no designation for him on Sunday's report. He runs second among Dolphins tight ends behind Greg Dulcich, and 1.1 PPR points a game over 5 games with 0 touchdowns says he is nowhere near lineups. Keep him stashed and leave the spot empty this week.
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
A third-round rookie tight end with three catches in five weeks is not a stash you can defend on production. The 1.1 points a game he has put up in weeks 1 to 5 of 2026 is well under the 4.3 a game we expected from him before the season, and six targets in five games tell you the staff has not found a use for him.
The blocker is Greg Dulcich, listed first among Miami's tight ends, and behind a brand new offensive brain in Bobby Slowik there was never going to be a runway for a pick-87 rookie until something forced it. Nothing has. He has not missed a game, so this is not health, it is a role that simply is not there. Our board had him TE67 and 243rd overall, and even that modest number is looking generous through five weeks. For the full season we had him at 52 points, and nothing in these five weeks argues for raising it.
Here is the one thing keeping this from being a straight drop: round 3 capital means Miami has to keep developing him, and a new play caller reshaping the offense midseason is the kind of disruption that has handed surprise roles to young tight ends before. If you have a deep bench and nothing better, hold through the bye in week 6 of 2026 and watch whether his snap role moves after it. If you are running thin at tight end, let him go. A waiver tight end with a real target share beats waiting on a maybe.
