Our read
Written Oct 18, from his facts through last season
He has not played a snap yet. Weeks 1 through 5 of 2026 are all did-not-plays, and even now he carries no injury designation, which tells you where the holdup is. Indy lists him fourth at tight end behind Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox and Andrew Ogletree, and Warren took 21% of the team's targets last season, the same share as Michael Pittman. There is no path here for a 27-year-old fourth-year tight end who has never been more than a spare part.
The 2025 season tells you what he is when he does dress. One game, one catch, 2.6 points in the last week of 2025, and zero red-zone touches on the year. His average depth of target was 16.0 yards, second among 125 qualifying tight ends, which is a fun trivia line and nothing else when the target share was 1.7%. The lung injury that ended his 2025 season after that final week of 2025 is why our preseason number sat at 5.2 points over 2 expected games, and with five missed weeks already logged, even that low bar looks generous now.
He is not worth a roster spot in a league of your size, and we would not keep him on the bench waiting for the depth chart to shuffle. Use the space for someone who can actually help you. If you have the room, the only thing worth watching is whether a Warren absence ever opens real snaps, and even then you are chasing a week of maybe 8 points.
