Our read
Written Mon 12:02 am Central, for week 6
Ben Sinnott has zero PPR points in three straight games and sits third among Washington tight ends behind Chig Okonkwo and John Bates, so the published projection of 0.7 points tracks. San Francisco has been brutal on the position, 4th of 32 against TEs at 8 PPR points a game through week 5 of 2026. Washington's expected score is 22.3 points in this Monday 7:15 pm Central kickoff, and none of it is finding him. Keep him out of your lineup and find a fill-in at TE this week.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
Two targets and 0.3 points a game through week 5 of 2026. Two targets all season, one catch, 6 receiving yards, and zero touchdowns. That is not a slow start so much as proof the staff never planned to use him. He sits third among Washington tight ends, behind Chig Okonkwo and John Bates, and a new play caller in David Blough has had five weeks to find him a role without finding one.
The 2025 record makes the same point. Nine games, 3.2 points a game, seven healthy weeks he did not dress. His red-zone share of his own touches sat at 7.7%, one red-zone touch all season, and Deebo Samuel Sr. plus Terry McLaurin took 48% of the targets. Even the encouraging number, the jump to 8.8 yards per target from 5.6 in 2024, came on a target share of just 3.2%. This kind of blocking-TE usage has been worth next to nothing for fantasy.
The 2024 season was no better, 13.8 points over 7 games, TE76 among 111 qualifying tight ends, and his 2025 snap share of 34.5% ranked TE81 among 137. Washington ran 33.6 seconds a play and threw on 50% of situation-neutral snaps last year, and almost none of it reached him.
He is 24, a 2024 second-rounder, so the talent case is not dead, but it lives somewhere that is not this offense right now. Our preseason number was 48 points and he is tracking nowhere near it. With the bye in week 7 of 2026 coming up, there is no week to wait through here. Release him for a tight end who actually catches passes.
