Our read
Written Sun 12:01 am Central, for week 6
Deebo Samuel Sr. is Out on Sunday's report, so he does not play in week 6 of 2026 against the Commanders on Monday night. His 2.5 PPR points at Seattle in week 5 and 12.1 PPR points a game with 3 touchdowns through 5 games say he wasn't carrying your lineup anyway. If you need a fill-in this week, De'Zhaun Stribling or Demarcus Robinson sits behind Mike Evans at WR in San Francisco. Keep him on your bench until his status changes.
Written Oct 17, from his facts through last season
He is last among the 64 receivers with 20 or more carries and targets, holding just 5% of his team's air yards through five weeks. That number docks him the deep spikes and it shows in the shape of his weeks: 18 points in week 1 of 2026, then 6.5, 15.4, 18, and a 2.5 in week 5 of 2026. What keeps him producing is scoring-range work. His 16% share of his team's carries and targets inside the ten ranks 11th in that same group, and he has turned it into 3 touchdowns already.
So the profile is what it was in 2025, just relocated. Last season he went 188 points at 11.8 a game, WR25, and his target share climbed from 18.4% in 2024 to 24.7%. The 25% share is why we are comfortable: among players in his spot, points a game rose 0.9 the next season on average. The catch in San Francisco is the company. Christian McCaffrey took 23% of the targets and George Kittle 22% in 2025, 45% between them, so the short-area diet he lives on has real competition.
We had him at 135 points for the season, WR56 on our board, and his 12.1 a game is running ahead of the 9.6 preseason pace we projected over 14 games. He has not missed a week, though he carries an O designation since before week 6 of 2026, so check that before lineups lock. Hold him. He is a flex for now, worth more the weeks the touchdowns come, and the bye in week 8 of 2026 means you can survive without finding a replacement for long.
