Our read
Written Oct 19, from his facts through last season
No touchdowns through five weeks of 2026, and the path to more is blocked by where he sits. Houston lists him fourth among its receivers, and last season Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz ate 44% of the targets between them. In that crowded a room, receivers in his spot have fallen 0.9 points a game the following year on average. He moved from NE for this, and so far Houston is giving him 5.5 a game with no end-zone touch.
The scoring profile is what actually worries us. 29% of his fantasy points came from touchdowns, and players built like that have lost 2 a game the next season on average. Add a 1.1x touchdown share, another 0.7 of typical decline, and the case for a bounce-back has to run through volume he does not have. The one line pointing the other way is his 17.5% air-yards share, where similar players gained 1.3 a game, and his 12.7-yard average depth of target through five weeks of 2026 backs that up. But two drops on 18 targets and a bye in week 8 of 2026 do not change the math much.
We had him at 92 points for the season, 7.1 a game over the 13 we expected, and he is not close. Our board put him at overall 239, WR84, after drafters took him at 159.2. The touchdown-heavy profile has cost players in his spot 2 points a game on average, and that is before you account for the small share of targets he sees. There is a late-season window, weeks 15 to 17 of 2026 against JAX, PHI and GB, but you would need the target room to thin before any of it matters. We would let him go for a receiver with a live weekly path.
